
Moussa Wone - PhD
Dr. Moussa Wone joined AlexRenew’s Board of Directors in 2024. He currently serves as the Vice President for DC Water's $3.3B Clean Rivers Project that is designed to improve water quality in the District by controlling combined sewer overflows to local waterways. Dr. Wone also leads DC Water’s assessment of and response to various regulatory matters and studies. In addition, he is a member of the Executive Committee of the Underground Construction Association Society of Mining Engineering and an owner representative at the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation.
Before joining DC Water, Dr. Wone was the Engineer of Record and Lead Designer for the $330M Blue Plains Tunnel at DC Water. Prior to that experience, Dr. Wone served as the consultant architect/engineer owner representative for the Dulles Corridor Metro Rail Project, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority’s $2.9B extension of the subway system from West Falls Church through Tyson Corner to Dulles Airport. On that project, he was responsible for tunneling and tunnel systems program management support services.
Dr. Wone has more than 30 years of leadership and civil engineering experience in both the public and private sectors. He is a graduate of Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees (Paris, France). He is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Design-Build Professional.
