After eight years of planning, design, and construction, RiverRenew is now just days away from transforming the region’s waterways. Beginning July 1, we will be ready to prevent millions of gallons of combined sewage from polluting our waterways — opening the door for a cleaner, more fishable, swimmable future for our community.

To mark this historic milestone, we are hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 1 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Please arrive by 8:30 a.m. at the Environmental Center to make your way onto the site.

GETTING HERE

AlexRenew's office building, the Environmental Center, is located at 1800 Limerick Street, Alexandria, VA, 22314. We are reachable by foot or bike from Old Town Alexandria. 

• The closest Metro stops are Eisenhower Ave or King Street, on the Yellow line.
• Visitors will be directed to the RiverRenew Pumping Station from our office building at 1800 Limerick Street.

PARKING

Free parking is available for visitors in our visitor lot (entrance off Bartholomew Street), or in overflow parking (entrance off Holland Lane). Follow directional signage, and see map below for details.
