On Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., AlexRenew will hold a public hearing at its headquarters in Alexandria. During the hearing, staff will present the proposed FY2027 Operating and Capital Budget, along with recommended updates to AlexRenew’s base charge and winter quarter average.

AlexRenew is proposing an operating and capital budget for the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2027. In addition, for FY2027, AlexRenew is proposing updates to its base charge to align customer billing with the amount of wastewater each customer sends to the system. The updated base charge will ensure that everyone is billed the same amount per gallon of wastewater generated.

AlexRenew is also proposing a change to the how the winter quarter average is defined. Both the proposed base charge and winter quarter average revision are presented in the Draft Rates, Rules, and Regulations. Staff will present the proposed FY2027 budget and proposed rate revisions at the public hearing. Community members are encouraged to attend, learn more, and provide feedback.

AlexRenew’s financial reports are available online for public examination here.
