AlexRenew and its construction partner, Traylor-Shea Joint Venture, have spent the last four years constructing the RiverRenew Tunnel Project, which will prevent millions of gallons of sewage from polluting Alexandria’s waterways each year.

In support of RiverRenew, crews have been building a massive underground facility at the intersection of Pendleton and Union Streets. As work on this facility winds down, AlexRenew is opening the new promenade that sits atop of this facility, connecting the community to a healthier Potomac River.

To celebrate this momentous occasion and brand-new waterfront community space, AlexRenew and the City are hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 18 at 8 a.m. at 501 N Union Street. Join us for coffee and sweeping views of the Potomac!
