Public Hearing on FY2026 Operating and Capital Budget and Proposed Rate Adjustment

On April 15, the AlexRenew Board of Directors unanimously approved the resolution of intent to adopt a two-year proposed rate adjustment to help fund the RiverRenew program and ongoing upgrades at our wastewater treatment facility.
This investment in Alexandria’s future requires AlexRenew to increase existing wastewater treatment rates by 5.0% beginning July 1, 2025, and 5.7% beginning July 1, 2026.
AlexRenew will host a public hearing on Saturday, May 17, 2025, starting at 9:30 a.m. to receive public comment on the proposed operating and capital budget as well as the rate adjustment.
The public hearing will be hosted on the 6th floor of AlexRenew’s administrative offices located at 1800 Limerick Street, 6th floor, Alexandria, VA 22314.
Members of the public can attend in person or access the hearing through Microsoft Virtual Events Powered by Teams.
