Alexandria Renew Enterprises’ goal is “to produce clean, safe water and exceptional biosolids with environmental integrity.”
Our board of directors is a five member body with citizens who are appointed by City Council to four-year staggered terms. The board is a public body in all respects, but is independent of the City government administratively and financially. AlexRenew board members are responsible for general oversight of the Authority, ensuring compliance with the Virginia Water and Wastewater Authorities Act and other laws governing the activities of local public bodies.
